There are different home care providers depending on what you are looking for. Doing shopping, light housekeeping, laundry etc. is a different type of care than someone providing hands on or live-in care. Light housekeeping, shopping do not need to be a Personal Support Worker or Nurse with a certificate but would require a CPR training. However, there are some basic tips to keep in mind. Here is a quick guide to the type of help you can hire: Companionship- ranges to outings, daily friendly visiting, round the clock paid companions, daily telephone calls. Personal Care- this involves assistance with the client's daily activities such as grooming,dressing, bathing, toilet use, eating and any other personal care. Homemaker-helping with light house cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking meals and many other chores. |

Giving of yourself you receive the gift of frienship. As I mention on the home page I have a love for seniors or people with special needs. My passion for caring began with my own family. My mother and my uncle both had a bone & muscle disease. Later in their life at different times were from wheelchair to bed. I became their sole caregiver and they became my inspiration! The laughter, tears and clossness we shared! The memoires! The friendship of them both are ingraved in my heart! |
